Roland DWX-50 Milling Machine has been the one of the most successful mills ever introduced to the dental lab community. The compact design, clean, quiet operation, and precision machining of copings, crowns and bridges. The DWX-50 streamlines the production process with 5-axis simultaneous machining capability and a 5-station automatic tool changer. At CAP we have integrated a CAM strategy that uses a 0.3 mm tool and developed strategies to mill the most complex geometries needed. This provides highly detailed anatomy on both single units and the most complex cases. An integrated air blower system aids with difficult to machine materials, such as PMMA or zirconia, along with a built-in dust collection tray that can be easily connected to any lab vacuum system, keeping the cutting area clean and free of debris. Introducing the DWX-4W, the latest in Roland technology that goes beyond dry milling to quickly and easily wet mill popular glass ceramic and composite resins with precision and reliability.
The DWX-4W wet mill cuts precision crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays, and veneers. Simultaneous 4-axis milling and other special features provide unattended milling. Up to three standard pin-type blocks can be loaded for increased efficiency. In addition to milling on X, Y and Z axes, the DWX-4W rotates pin-type blocks 360 degrees on a fourth axis (A axis) to support undercuts. The ball screw-driven 4-axis control allows for smooth, high-precision machining.
The DWX-4W’s high-performance 60,000 RPM Jaeger spindle supports precision milling of glass ceramic and composite resin. With its multi-pin clamp, the DWX-4W can mill up to three different pin-type materials continuously in one operation. As a result, prosthetics for up to three different patients can be produced in a single production run, saving time, labor and costs.
