CAP Declares May 2016 “Zirconia Awareness Month”

Announces Activities to Support Zirconia Education for Dental Labs


Boston, MA, May 2, 2016 / CAP, provider of end-to-end solutions for dental laboratories, today announced that May 2016 is the inaugural Zirconia Awareness Month to fight the scourge of misinformation about zirconia in the market.

“The types of zirconia that are on the market are constantly proliferating and changing,” said Bob Cohen, president of CAP. “Many of our partner labs contact us to make sense of these new and different products, so we’re responding with a host of educational initiatives that we’ve set up for this month.”

While education has always been core to the CAP mission to help labs thrive, this special focus on zirconia is and will consist of a variety of tools, such as videos, blogs, webinars, and ebooks. “Our educational focus this month will be on selecting the right zirconia, mill, sintering furnace, tools, and how to achieve best-in-class post-processing — the entire end-to-end process to produce a superior result that doctors and patients alike will love,” said Mr. Cohen.

CAP and Amann Girrbach Partner with Foundry Dental Center to Deliver World-class Care to Patients in Need


Equipment, Materials, and Support Critical to Foundry’s Mission


Boston, MA, February 1, 2016 / CAP, provider of end-to-end solutions for dental laboratories, and Amann Girrbach (AG) today announced that they have partnered with The Foundry Dental Center in Bessemer, AL to deliver world-class dental care to patients in need.

“Our primary mission is to serve individuals who strive to be free from addiction, alcoholism and homelessness,” said Roger Dawson, manager of the Foundry’s in-house dental lab. The Foundry is also home to an implant education program, where new and advanced techniques are practiced by dentists in a hands-on, mentored environment. “The program provides the clinicians and lab services, and companies like CAP and AG provide the equipment and support that help us achieve our mission and deliver dental care to those in need.”

“When we were approached by the Foundry’s in-house lab, we were particularly struck by their unique needs and how we could make a difference in the lives of their patients,” said Tom Hagen, partner at CAP. “During our initial visit in mid-2015, we were so inspired by their work and vision that we committed to help them in whatever way we could.” Through charitable commitments the Foundry received a complete CAD CAM system from AG, and an intraoral scanner from CAP. “It is a rare opportunity to be able to support people in need and high-end education at the same time,” said Georg Eickhoff, president of AG, North America. “We are happy that both our equipment as well as our team can contribute to that.”

In addition, CAP and AG have pledged to provide ongoing support, training, education, and materials to help the Foundry maximize their equipment performance and help them thrive.

CAP Appoints Razi Setoodegan to Lead Business Development
