We are so happy that you are interested in joining us for our first destination educational event. CAP has partnered with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line to offer you a great break from winter that will include a comprehensive lineup of state of the art education.

Much of the material to be covered is new, exciting and never introduced information. We have set the agenda so all who attend can take full advantage of the ports we will visit and also be able to obtain 10 hours of continuing education credits.

Continuing Education Sessions

Optimizing CAD/CAM for Comprehensive Cases (Priti Mirror)

Speaker – Bob Cohen (2 hours)

This program will include in depth discussion on achieving optimal aesthetics, using CAD CAM for comprehensive cases. The information will include many needed design parameters that are essential criteria for functional aesthetics dentistry. In addition, we will introduce 3D facial scan technology to the conventional CAD design interface. This new, groundbreaking technology will enhance your work and be a great way of obtaining new customers. In addition, the protocol will review how CAD CAM can reduce treatment planning while improving the outcome. We will look at obtaining 3D facial scans, importing the scans into CAD programs and subsequent design parameters. This is a must see for anyone interested in producing and or automating comprehensive cases. Lastly, we will discuss how this technology will increase laboratories sales and profits.

Automation, More Than Just CAD/CAM

Speaker – Rob Nazzal (1 hour)

There is no question CAD/CAM is an amazing new production modality that dramatically reduces labor and increases efficiency. However, there is much more to automation than just CAD/CAM. This software review program will include many additional forms of automation that reduce error, improve access into customer, staffing, consumables, and equipment metrics that enable much improved efficiencies.

How to Select CAD CAM Solutions

Speakers – Sam Wainwright & Bob Cohen (1 hour)

Today there are many different dental specific solutions for CAD CAM production. This program will include in-depth analysis of how to select the best CAD/CAM solution for your laboratories particular needs. Also to be discussed will be the benefits of building in redundancy and consistency for high-end automated restorations.

Outsource or Buy Into CAD/CAM?

Speakers – Tom Hagen & Bob Cohen (1 hour)

Many lab owners struggle with the decision of when is the right time to bring automation in house. Many have invested in solutions and not been adequately prepared financially or technically. This program will include everything needed to help make proper decisions on these high cost solutions. A logical step by step approach to automation will be provided. Attendees will learn when the time is right and what the choices are.

Implants and CAD/CAM

Speaker – Bob Cohen (1 hour)

The implant market is growing every year and there are now several implant-supported, automated solutions to choose from. During this course, we will review simple and complex implant supported cases. We will look at many of the advantages of cement and screw retained restorations.

Advanced 3Shape Design

Speakers – Sam Wainwright & Bob Cohen (2 hours)

This program will introduce design techniques for advanced indications. Also to be discussed will be how to obtaining optimally fitting restorations and designing a restoration in as few mouse clicks as possible.

Optimizing CAD CAM and The Anterior Restoration

Speakers – Bob Cohen & Sam Wainwright (1 hour)

Obtaining highly aesthetic anterior restorations is complex, even in an analog workflow. Moving this to digital is even more of an aesthetic challenge. In this program, we will demonstrate a process for a fully-automated solution for highly aesthetic anterior restorations. We will review all design elements and materials for efficient digital manufacturing of a premium product.
