Cementing Instructions for

Multi unit 2-CONnect:

Prior to bonding, make sure the screws fall through all the holes of the zirconia bridges. If there is a problem you will need to manually enlarge the hole(s)

  1. Sandblast the exterior of the Ti inserts and the receiving area of the zirconia with aluminum oxide.
  2. Screw the abutments to the model.
  3. Screw the Ti inserts to the abutments.
  4. Blackout top of screw with some white wax.
  5. Apply the primer to the brush and apply a liberal coat to the insert and Zi receiving area. Allow to dry for a minute and then fully dry with air.
  6. Syringe a couple of beads of the resin cement circumferentially around each titanium insert. You may want to do 2-4 at a time or all at once. I generally do 4 at a time.
  7. Light cure each screw access hole, buccal and lingual for 3 seconds, each location.
  8. Using an explorer remove excess resin.
  9. Finish light curing all units.
  10. Repeat if you don’t do them all in one shot.
  11. Examine under microscope for excess cement

Attention New 2-CONnect Users

The 2-CONnect abutment requires a unique octagon shaped driver. You and your dentist will need this driver to work with the 2-CONnect system. The final insertion screw is configured with a driver requirement that matches the implant company’s driver configuration.  Torque specifications can be found in the Instructions For Use contained in each 2-CONnect package.

2-CONnect Base The 2-CONnect abutment assembly has been designed to enable automation in manufacturing of screw retained implant supported restorations. Due to the conical design feature of the abutment, implants with up to 30 degrees of divergence can be connected in a single bridge section. 2-CONnect abutment have been developed to be used with several of the most common implant interfaces.
2-CONnect Cap The 2-CONnect assembly includes a titanium insert. The insert geometry is universal for all 2-CONnect abutments. The insert has been designed with a titanium shoulder resulting in screw torque loads being placed on the titanium (not zirconia). The 2-CONnect insert is cemented into the final restoration as THE final step in manufacturing. The recommended cement for the titanium insert is Multilink Implant cement from Ivoclar Vivadent.
Cap-Screw In addition to the 2-CONnect abutment assembly there are ancillary lab drivers [W 11.100.000] and a dentist torque driver [W 11.000.000]. Please note, all 2-CONnect abutments use a unique octagonal driver [W 11.005.G60] for placement. The insertion screw is a star configuration that is universal to all 2-CONnect seating screws [W 11.LNO.G40]. Please note, both the abutment and final insertion screw should be torqued to 30 N/cm at the time of final insertion.
